OUR STORY

For over twenty years, Rana Esseily and Chucri Serhal lived in France, yet their hearts were never far from Lebanon — from Jezzine, the land of their roots and memories. Though Rana wasn’t born there, the village immediately felt like home, as if its hills, pines, and waterfalls whispered a welcome only she could hear.

In 2024, amidst uncertainty and change, the family made a courageous decision: to return, to buy, and to restore a traditional Lebanese house in Jezzine. It was more than a renovation — it was an act of hope, a promise to their children, and a message to the world: that beauty, warmth, and resilience still live in Lebanon.

Dar Jezzine is not a hotel. It is a family home, a place where every corner tells a story. Where laughter echoes in the garden, where children run barefoot over sun-warmed stones, and where the gentle clinking of cups and plates carries the joy of shared moments across generations.

The house has been restored with respect for Lebanese heritage — stone walls, arches, and wooden doors are preserved, while modern comforts are woven seamlessly into the home’s character. Here, authenticity meets intimacy. Every detail, from the hand-carved woodwork to the cozy corners, invites guests to feel at ease, to breathe, to belong.

Choosing Dar Jezzine is stepping into a living story:

  • Discover the charm of Jezzine and the South of Lebanon, a region of waterfalls, pine forests, and timeless traditions.
  • Support local artisans, farmers, and creators who keep centuries-old craftsmanship alive.
  • Share in moments of conviviality, cultural exchange, and genuine human connection.

Dar Jezzine opens its doors like an old friend. Here, you are more than a guest — you are part of a home, a story, and a community. And in every sunlit room, every fragrant corner, and every view of the hills, the spirit of Jezzine is waiting to greet you.
